SGI Onyx 3400

Hi All,

I have just acquired two SGI ONYX 3400 servers to experiment with Fulldome
projections. I will be Moving this Equipment into a Non-Profit Art Space here
in Denver known as the BOMB FACTORY. The Place gets it's name from it's original
use as an Air Force supply warehouse.

I will be accompanying these servers with 4 BARCO/SEOS(upgraded) Projectors
along with the SEOS MERCATOR for Fulldome projection alignment.

If you havent heard of the Onyx 3400 here is a brief description.

The Onyx 3400 Rack Visualization System, 16 x 400MHz R12000 Processors in 4 x C-Bricks, 16GB Memory, InfiniteReality3 Graphics with 256MB Texture and DG5-2, I-Brick, 6-Port R-Brick, 18GB FC System Disk, Power Bay

The ONYX 3400 was Designed from the ground up to support the highest levels of immersive visualization, high performance computing and storage, the SGI Onyx 3000 series with InfiniteReality3 graphics is available in a range of configurations for every level of visual supercomputing. By scaling from 4 CPUs and 1 InfiniteReality3 graphics pipe all the way up to 128 CPUs and 16 graphics pipes, the SGI Onyx 3000 series can solve the most complex problems that an organization faces. You can scale graphics, CPU, storage, and I/O components independently, allowing you to deploy, upgrade, service, expand, and redeploy your system in every possible dimension. With brick-by-brick modularity, you can build and maintain a system optimally, with a level of flexibility that makes obsolescence almost obsolete.
